I came across an article from one of my favorite Christian writers and speakers. You may have heard of Joyce Meyer. She puts out a free magazine that always has informative information on it. Well, last few weeks I came across one of her magazines because I was cleaning out old magazines doing some Minimalism Decluttering. So, I started reading the past ones and have been on a routine again of reading her articles. Well, I came across this one about your personality profile.
I do want to let you all know if you did not know I am a Christian. This information is Christian based, but you can apply it to your life even if you are not. God created us all with different personalities, shapes, and uniqueness. That is why this article was so interesting to me. I had never seen this information before and I could take the information and figure out which personality was each of my family members. It was just really interesting to know how they each tick.
There are four unique personality types which are very important because everyone is completely different from one another. You can also find more information from another author named Tim LaHaye, who also wrote the Left Behind Book Series. Each person is an important part of God’s plan.
God made each individual for a reason and purpose in life. We all have a different mix of strengths, weaknesses, and desires for life experiences.
Descriptions of each one:

How to love a Sanguine
They will speak first and think later, but remember they mostly mean well! They’re great at getting things started but may need your help and encouragement to finish a job. Sanguines sincerely love to help others but may over-commit due to their enthusiastic nature, so encourage them to count the cost before they commit. Show them you appreciate the fun and excitement they bring to your life!
Perfect Melancholy

How to love a Melancholy
They tend to be hard on themselves, so your sincere, loving encouragement can go a long way! Be mindful of their sensitive nature, as your words could easily wound them. Melancholy thrive when they have time alone, so give them the space they need to shine. Do your part to make things clean and tidy – and be sure to praise them for the thoughtful dedication they put into everything they do!
Powerful Choleric {This is my daughter’s personality)
- They are adventurous, persuasive and confident
- Natural born leaders which are goal setters, risk-takers, decision-makers, and managers.
- If there’s a problem, they have a plan
- If something “cannot be done”, they want to do it!
- Cholerics enjoy being in control, and welcome change and opposition
- Tend to be more interested in achieving goals, and less sensitive to the feelings of others.
- Choleric’s maxim: “Do it my way, right away!”
How to love a Choleric
They can be impatient and bossy without ever meaning to hurt. So, it’s best not to take things personally; just be an honest and trustworthy friend. Applaud their decision-making skills, but don’t hesitate to bring your own ideas to the table. Cholerics often see things as black and white and will benefit from the insights of others. Let their natural talents for leadership shine, and try not to be envious of their success.
Peaceful Phlegmatic [This is me]
- They are friendly, patient and contented
- These well-balanced souls are the easiest of all temperament to get along with
- Agreeable, eager to help, and not in need of too much attention
- Strong desire for unity, plus their ability to listen and offer objective opinions
- They make wonderful moderators
- Phlegmatics are pessimistic “realists”
- Their low-key nature allows them to be calm and collected when others might get anxious or upset.
- Their main goal in life: to live in peace.
How to love a Phlegmatic
They naturally go with the flow and need encouragement to focus on their own needs and wants. If you want to know what they really think and feel, realize it could take some coaxing. Because of their relaxed nature, they may need your help staying motivated, making decisions, and participating in social functions. Be appreciative of their patience and flexibility, and try not to be too pushy.
Review of this topic
In review of this, you should discover your personality, but appreciate the differences in others who may have a different personality. We all have things to deal with which is not God’s ideal attitude, mindsets or behaviors. By reading your bible everyday you and God can work on these things to make your life a better place. The key is to rely on godly changes within our soul and focus on God with the agreement that God can change our hearts and transform us into the image of Christ. The more we become like Jesus, the more we can learn to see ourselves as God sees us, and the more likely chance we can receive his love for us and love ourselves. The best relationship advice is to develop a personal, relationship with Jesus by spending regular time with Him in prayer, worship, and his word from the bible. If you follow these guidelines, you will see a change in yourself from the inside out.
“quote from Joyce Meyer that I really love: Many people have a hard time believing this. They focus on their weaknesses and everything they think is wrong with them, which causes them to live defeated lives because they are unable to change the things about them that need to change.
